CEVICHE

Ceviche is a regional food of Peru. In 2004 our flag plate was declared as Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the National Institute of Culture (INC) for being the main dish of Peru. Currently every June 28 is celebrated the "National Day of Peruvian Ceviche". Below I will show you three types of ceviche:

  • ceviche with fish: In Peru, ceviches are prepared with all kinds of meats, but fish ceviche is the most popular and also the emblematic dish of our gastronomy. To prepare this ceviche, a great variety of fish is used that our rich sea provides, however you can choose the one that is most to your liking. Read to the end and learn how to prepare it correctly.

  • ceviche with seafood: The seafood ceviche is similar to the mixed ceviche, with the difference that it does not include fish and you can add more varieties of them. A characteristic of the preparation of this ceviche is that the shellfish have to be previously boiled or passed through hot water. This makes it an excellent alternative for those who cannot or do not like to eat raw fish.

  • mixed ceviche: Mixed ceviche is a type of ceviche that every seafood lover should try and enjoy without hesitation. This ceviche is the one that best shows the great richness and variety of products that our sea offers. It is called mixed, because different types of shellfish and fish are used for the preparation.

My name is Karina Espinoza, I am from Peru - Iquitos

For breakfast I usually eat breads with ham, cheese or butter, sometimes like tacacho with fried egg, I love the stingy! accompanied by a glass of milk or capiron chapo.

for lunch my mom usually prepares red noodles accompanied by Dad's cream to huancaina, sautéed loin, fried fish or rice with chicken and her rich passion fruit soda, I love passion fruit soda, it's a rich fruit

For dinner, I usually have a cup of coffee accompanied by breads with ham or butter.
